If you’re a new or expecting parent, mazel tov! Welcoming a baby brings a mix of feelings-elation,excitement, and exhaustion, to name a few. For the parents of a Jewish boy,there is the additional responsibility of bringing the baby into berit mila (or bris mila in Yiddish), the covenant of circumcision. As a certified mohel, my role is to perform the ritual ceremony and the medical procedure so it’s meaningful for the family and guests, and safe for the baby. So, baruch haba, welcome.
